The Splitting Of The Moon

Splitting of the moon

Narrated Anas: ”That the Meccan people requested Allah’s Messenger (Muhammad; PBUH) to show them a miracle, and so he showed them the splitting of the moon.”
The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two],
And if they see a sign, they turn away, and say: Prolonged illusion,
And they call (it) a lie, and follow their low desires; and every affair has its appointed term.”
[Quran - The Moon ; 54(1-3)]

No Reward Do We Desire From You, Nor Thanks

By China Rayne
And they feed, for the love of Allah, the indigent, the orphan, and the captive,
(Saying),’We feed you for the sake of Allah alone: no reward do we desire from you, nor thanks.‘”

One Who Will Bring You Nothing But Loss

By Gufranshaikh
Ibn al-Qayyim said:
The one with a dead heart will make you feel lonely. So, take advantage of his absence as much as possible, because you will not feel lonely except when he is with you. If you are put to trial with him, give him your outer attention, wander from him with your heart, separate your inner self from him, and do not let him distract you from what is more deserving of your attention. Know that the greatest of losses is for you to be preoccupied with one who will bring you nothing but a loss in your time with Allāh – the Mighty and Majestic – and being cut off from Him, wasting of your time on him, weakening of your energy, and dispersing of your attention. So, if you are tested with this – and you must be tested with this – deal with him according to how Allāh would wish, and be patient with him as much as possible. Get closer to Allāh and His Pleasure by way of this person, and make your getting together with him something to benefit from, not something to incur a loss from. Be with him as if you are a man who is on a road who was stopped by another man, who then asks you to take him on your journey. Make sure that you are the one who gives him a ride, and that he is not the one giving you the ride. If he refuses, and there is nothing to gain from traveling with him, do not stop for him, bid him farewell, and do not even turn back to look at him, as he is a highway robber regardless of who he really is. So, save your heart, be wary of how you spend your days and nights, and do not let the Sun set before you arrive at your destination

Shooting Star

By Dustin H

In the collection of Muslim, the following is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas:
“Once while the Prophet was among a group of the Helpers, they saw a shooting star. The Prophet (صل الله عليه وسلم) said: ‘What did you used to say in the jahiliya when you saw these?‘ They said: ‘We used to say that some great person has died or some great person has been born.‘ The Prophet said: ‘Verily, these are not thrown for the death of anyone, nor for the life of anyone. Rather whenever our Lord decrees something, the carriers of the Throne praise Him, then the inhabitants of Heaven below them, then those below them, until their praise reaches this lowest heaven. Then, the inhabitants of the seventh heaven ask the carriers of the Throne: What has your Lord said? So they inform them, then the inhabitants of each heaven ask those above them, until the news reaches the lowest heaven. Then the devils try to steal a listen, but these things are thrown at them. (Whatever they get) they send to their allies. That which they deliver as it is, is the truth, but they add to it.‘”

Guidance To The Straight Path

By UnfinishedSympathy
Ibn al Qayyim said;
Guidance (hidaayah) is: [a] Elucidation (bayaan) and Indication (dalaalah) (to the path), then [b] Success (tawfeeq) and Inspiration (ilhaarn) (in following the path), and this comes after (the guidance of) elucidation and indication. There is no way to elucidation and indication except by means of the Messengers. So when elucidation, indication and acquaintance (of the path) has been obtained, there will occur, as a result of this the guidance of success (in following the path), the placing of faith (eemaan) in the heart and its beautification and endearment to it, making it (the heart) prefer eemaan, be pleased with it and aspire for it. There are two independent and distinct (types of) guidance. Success and prosperity cannot be gained except by them. They both contain the knowledge and acquaintance of that which we do not know of the truth, in both a general and specific sense, as well as our being inspired to the truth and being made to desire following it inwardly and outwardly. Then (they contain) the creation of the capability for us (by Allah) to perform the requirements of this guidance with respect to speech, action and firm resolution. (Then after all of this), being made to remain firm and established upon it until death. It is from the above that this extreme need of the servant for making this supplication is above every other need.
